How to switch from Zapier to Activepieces

Checked against the official docs on

List your Zaps, recreate each as an Activepieces flow with the same trigger and actions, then dual-run before you disable the Zap.

Activepieces does not import Zapier Zaps automatically. Budget time to rebuild flows and reconnect OAuth apps.
  1. Export your Zap inventory

In Zapier, note each Zap's trigger app, trigger event, action steps and monthly task use.

  2. Deploy Activepieces

Use Activepieces Cloud or docker-compose self-host from the official docs.

  3. Reconnect apps

Add each connector (Gmail, Slack, HubSpot…) and authorise with a least-privilege account.

  4. Rebuild top Zaps

Recreate the highest-volume Zaps first as Activepieces flows; test with sample payloads.

  5. Dual-run then cut over

Run both for a few days, compare outputs, then turn off the Zapier Zap.

Watch out for

  • Some Zapier-only apps may lack an Activepieces piece — use HTTP/Webhooks or code steps.
  • Task semantics differ: count Activepieces runs, not Zapier tasks, when comparing cost.
